The Guild as it is today was founded by Sir Gyles and Lady de Murforte. Work on it began in 1511 and it was opened by King Cirone II on August 27th 1512. It is located on Filigree Street and has a charming weather vane in the shape of an assassin on its roof.
The Guild offers the best education available and many of their members are considered to be the perfect gentleman (or woman, although you don't often hear about gentlewomen).
Every assassin must have a full-length mirror in his or her room as it is considered a terrible insult to the victim if their killer is not well-dressed. The guild salute is the first two fingers of the right hand rubbed against the thumb (as in 'give me money now').
Guns, bombs and other weapons of mass destruction are strictly forbidden as assassins like to offer a personal service.
