IMPORTANT NOTICE Note on fonts for best viewing. Due to my eye problems I tend to use the largest fonts possible in composing the text for my page. Therefore, this page was designed for Netscape 3.0 using Arial (16pt) for my proportional font and Courier New (11pt) for my fixed font. I would really like a larger font for the fixed font but I find that this causes text to disappear off the right edge of the screen and I don't really like horizontal scrolling of text. You can probably get a better look if you use the same or similar fonts - particularly insofar as the point sizee is concerned. Viewing with MS Internet Explorer seems to work well due to the ease in quickly changing from one font to another during viewing. Since Netscape Communicator also has the facility to change fonts as MS Internet Explorer does the same ease of change should apply if you are using it - I just started with it recently so am not fully familiar with the finer points of using it as my Web browser.

[Use with any browser]

I have designed this Web page as nearly as possible so that it may be viewed intelligently with any browser. I have avoided the use of such recent HTML developments as frames and Java applets which are not available on text only browsers such as Lynx. However, I feel that use of graphics, even when not visible with the text browsers, are a necessary part of any Web page. Users of text only browsers may download the graphics files and display them off-line using any of a number of available graphics viewers.

While I have excluded those elements which are unfriendly to text only browser users from my own HTML coding I have no control over their use in many of the pages to which I have linked from this page. I apologize to those of you who are limited to text only browsers such as Lynx and hope that you can upgrade to one of the graphic browsers in the near future. While the Web has much to offer to the text only community I have found the additional functions available with the graphic browsers to be exciting and addictive.

Now return to the Table of Contents - I hope that everyone enjoys it and lets me know what improvements I can make.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

If you have any comments or suggestions for improving this page I would love to hear from you from here

WHAT'S NEW ON THIS PAGE

Since my son pointed out to me that while he could tell when I made changes to this page he had to do a lot of searching to find what they were I decided to add these brief descriptions of the changes I have made beginning with November 5, 1996. Hope others find it useful also.

November 5, 1999
Added photo of my wife and myself to the Bio area - this photo was taken 2 months before her death.
August 28, 1999
To those few readers of this Web page who have noticed the fact that I have not been updating its content for some time I apologize. On July 20 Ella Lee, my wife of almost 60 years, died suddenly. Since then I have not had my heart into this page. When I will resume updating it I do not know - for the present I am devastated and cannot visualize spending much time on it.
July 4, 1999
Updated the biographical data as the result of the closing of the TriCounty Online (TSO) bulletin board system where I have been very active for the past 10 years.

Also, with more time available since TSO is no longer a priority item for me I will be reviewing other areas of my Web page to update the information it contains. I will denote major changes here but where I make only minor changes I will not bother to enumerate them here.

May 9, 1999
Added link to the Fairfield Echo in the hometown news area.
March 27, 1999
Expanded the Bosnia area to include the entire Balkan crisis, including a number of links to areas presenting the situation from the perspective of the Serbs and the Kosovo Liberation Army as well as the United States and its NATO allies.
March 5, 1999

Added link to Ohio Decisions '98 Web page where users can find who the candidates for state and national office are in their particular district.
October 4, 1998
Deleted notes from this list of changes prior to January 1, 1998 as the list is getting too large and any regular readers of this Web page are familiar with past changes.
