Since I added the comics section to my Web page I have noticed a few more accesses than previous so I guess there are a few comic strip buffs out there besides me. The six above are links to the United Media site. In case you have preferences other than these six access to their page on the Web will allow you to pick your own favorites. There are some there that are my favorites, too, but they are in my morning paper every day so I have not repeated them here.

Following the lead of United Media, Universal Press Syndicate. another major distributor of comics, has added their page to the Web with a number of additional popular comics.

Other very complete collections of daily comic strips include the Philadelphia Inquirer and the San Jose Mercury News - unfortunately both of these sites now charge for access to the site - but the Houston Chronicle still maintains a nice collection of up-to-date comics for which there is no charge although free registration is required.

In order to save a bit of time in accessing some of my favorites from these other sites here are a few that I like that do not appear in my morning paper. Before you can access the ones that appear in the Houston Chronicle it will be necessary for you to register with the Chronicle - it's free and once you are registered you'll just have to enter your id and password when you access one of their comics.

There are a number of editorial cartoons available around the Net. Cincinnati is blessed to have two of the best - Jim Borgman of the Enquirer and Jeff Stahler of the Post.
