NORTHERN PERTH

Based in Kallaroo, north of Perth, for most of our holiday I had little chance of sampling the atmosphere of the local pubs.

MULLALOO
MULLALOO HOTEL

The first Australian pub I entered.
Our first full day in Australia so we had to take a look at the beach. It was hot, 31C, or as the locals said "Only 31" so we took a gentle stroll and spent just long enough on the beach to get sand between our toes before retiring to the handily placed Mullaloo Hotel just across the road.
"Do you do pints ?", I asked in my best Lanky.
They did so we had Swan Gold which was ice cold, wet and fizzy with some alcohol in I presume, something like Skol lager, which was exactly what was needed.

HILARY'S BOATYARD

BOAT

We called here several times because they served a decent pint of Boddies and because we could sit outside
under those little lights and watch the boats doing nothing much and because there were shops in the complex.
It was some consolation to me.
