CDF Down staffing Replyto: [email protected] CDF is planning for TGU and possibly surrounding units to downstaff on Oct 15th, 2000. This will put one engine on duty and one engine on reserve at each station. Stations with only one engine depending on weather and situation will remain staffed or closed for the off-season. Rain due early next week for the first rain of the "almost off season" CDF TGU plans to close the season on Nov 2nd. RBFD is looking forward because they lose a lot to CDF seasonals ;)

Sigh - it was a VERY quiet season this year for the north state. (Although I shouldn't say WAS - we still have a bit to go) but with the rain in forecast it should be quiet. TGU's questionable control burn "escape" is still under investigation. That proved very fun to listen to the first 3-5 hours of the initial attack and then turned into an airshow with leadplane activity and no groundstompers for a while.

See Jakes Scanner site for extensive info on the Tehama County FD
