I could set this up a bunch of ways - list all the FDs and tell who dispatchs them (would be huge list) - or I could just list the dispatch centers and throw in a few notes (which is what I will do)
These are the people that put the tones on the air - not the CHP, Sheriffs, PSAPs, and etc.
CDF - CDF always dispatches its own units (in other words, CDF units are never dispatched by an outside agency) - whenever CDF also dispatches local FDs, they also seem to dispatch the local EMS - when CDF dispatches local FDs they usually dispatch 90% of the FDs in the county (under the auspices of the Co FD/CDF operation) - aka, CDF dispatches local FDs (usually in unincorporated areas) when CDF operates the Co FD under a joint county/state contract
911 - means that a County run 911 Center dispatches a
bunch of FDs
DB = dispatched by

FAO = Fire Alarm Office = fire dispatch
