From the looks of this recent FCC data, it looks like the County FD is expanding all of their repeater channels to have ?countywide coverage. Per the 1998 radio info in the County FD website, they had 1 east repeater channel, 1 west repeater channel, and 1 north repeater channel. Does anyone have more info about this?

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
The FDs roll as first responders and ALS providers. Private ambulance companies provide transport services to hospitals in Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, and Ventura.

Aerial Assets - August 1999 (per alt.med.ems) - the Sheriffs Dept has 3 yellow Hueys - 1 of them has a rescue hoist - private ambulance company paramedics and police pilots staff the aircraft - they rarely fly at night. Mercy Air Ambulance has recently placed Mercy 8 into operation on a 24 hour basis at Oxnard Airport. Mercy 8 is a Bell 222T helicopter staffed by 2 medical people (CCT level) and a pilot. $3400 is the cost to evacuate 1 patient.
