Masaya is Ichigo's crush and at the begining of the manga/anime you just could tell that Ichigo had a huge crush on him. Masaya does like Ichigo too, but he acts normal around Ichigo. In Ichigo's words he is popular, caring, athletic, smart, cute and has a great smile. He didn't realise Ichigo's feelings until he confess his feelings to her. Although at the begining he sometimes shouts at Ichigo for wondering away, he still really cares for her deep inside. Masaya is also part of the kendo team and he is very interested in the enviroment and preserving.
