(1) Also called speed, sulphate, billy or whizz. Usually comes as a powder. It can be sniffed or swallowed and is sometimes injected. It is often mixed with all sorts of other stuff like talcum powder and sugar.

(2)A stimulant drug. It wakes you up and gives you energy. But what goes up must come down. After using it people often feel tired, but also unable to sleep or eat properly.
Stimulant drugs can make the user feel more confident and alert (buzzing). If snorted, effects can start within minutes . If swallowed, it can take up to an hour . Loss of appetite may lead to unhealthy weight loss. Many users become physically run down, which leaves them suceptible to paranoia, depression, anxiety and psychosis.

(3)Talking too much, too often can make you feel washed out and worried. Some people can become very aggressive. It can also rot your teeth. People who take it often can get to feel they cannot get through life without it. Speed can be snorted, swallowed (in a cigarette paper) or injected. Because speed is a stimulant, users often find difficulties sleeping and eating so therefore it is important to sleep and eat well before and after using. Because it is a stimulant drug, it is advisable not to use speed with and depressants (Downers) or antidepressant drugs (e.g Prozac).

(4) Using amphetamine in hot and crowded places such as clubs may result in overheating and exhaustion.

(5) In most cases amphetamine is a class B drug but prepared for injection it is a class A drug. It is illegal to have, give, sell and take!!
