Uncle Herb was a farmer. I first recall them farming on the Upper Middle Road in Oakville. They came back to the Robertson farm where the family had grown up some time in the 1930's. That was adjoining our farm. Aunt Minnie died in the 1940's. Herb awas next in a house on the Lower Middle Road opposite my mother's family home where Minnie died. My cousin Laura had lost her husband and came to keep house for Uncle Herb. Several years later they married and moved to a house on Thomas Street in the Town of Oakville. After my Dad died mother lived with Herb and Laura until her death. Eileen and I took Aunt Laura to England with us one year. She stayed with our relatives on the Isle of Wight

Married Annie Louisa Gough in 1919 on returning from the war. They eventually lived in Napanee, Ontario. Aunt Louie took in abandoned babies for some years. Uncle Frank was a blacksmith in Sharp's Corners ten miles north of Napanee. We visited there almost every summer. They lived beside a river that had a dam below their place. Ross and I used to have great fun rowing around in a boat they had.

They lived Oakville where Uncle Wes was a Steam Engineer. He worked for King Paving Co. for years as a steam roller operator. He finished up at the Oakville Basket Co. tending to their furnaces that produced steam to run the plant. Uncle Wes was my drinking uncle. He was a very genial drunk though. He was so much in demand as a steam engineer that every place he worked was more than tolerant of his some times weekly toots.
Alberta ANDERSON was born on Mar 3 1886. She died on Mar 17 in Clarkson, Peel, Ontario, Canada. She was buried in Mar in Springcreek Cemetery, Clarkson, Peel, Ontario. She married Wesley Walter LEAVER on Oct 30 1908.
