COMMENTARY
2000 was unfortunately a very difficult year for me. Despite my best efforts, a relationship finished, and I was left living in solitary confinement in a less than pleasant area of a dying Midlands town. I spent a large part of the year distrusting people and myself, and looking for recognition of my better qualities in others. Late nights and early exits seemed integral to my life. My job had reached a dead end. It was only when I was offered a job in London that things improved. I had no ties to hold me back to the Midlands. So I evolved.
A lot of the work here can also be found in A Life Cut In Half
NOTE
These poems use the old layout of the site, some quite dated white upon black design.
I don't like it, but let's just say it's a 'retro' design. Might be worth a bit in a few years.
