I really want to get involved with either Doctors Without Borders or the Red Cross, and help out in the developing countries, perhaps as missionary doctor,
or else have my own practice and become a medical journalist on the side! Wait... can I do all of this at once???
And so far...
I haven't yet thrown my medical school applications together -- I haven't even taken the MCAT!
But I've been active in the SFU Pre-Medical Society and I'm getting
closer to taking the big step. So check out this space in the future to see what progress I've made.
But what if...
If I unfortuantely don't crack my way into the world of medicine as a medical student, I'd like to go into either nursing, dietetics and nutrition, or
dentistry -- haven't yet decided which! However, after my undergrad
research semester, maybe I'll turn towards medical research -- something I might want to do on the side even if I do get into med school. Who knows? We'll see...
