Review

We got our blood pumping by giving a well-deserved wedgie to Brandon. Striking terror into the hearts of the Special, we scored first. From then on, however, it was tooth and nail to the finish.

This game was perhaps our greatest sporting match. Danny remarked that we finally got to play hard after several low-wattage games. Highlights included Ross making another floor-eating bid in the endzone for a point, and Kim making a typical monster grab by our "home".

Blue Light Special had some truly stellar women players, and they used them to full extent. Their men were young, fresh, and quick. The Phlegms, to their credit, played very well, with very few problems. It seemed like we had a bit of a height and experience advantage, while they had speed and proficient females. This was one of our closest games, and once again the game was decided on the last point...well after midnight.

The last point involved a couple of turnovers. Our original plan was to have someone go long for a Hail Mary to put a quick end to the game. The pass was incomplete, but another turnover gave us yet another chance in the ecstasy zone with Colin. Tiring, we gave it up and the Special moved up the field, scoring on a long throw from mid-field.

Some hip-hip-hoorays were yelled, and then we gave them chocolates.

Fred looks for Phlegms, but there are few to throw to at this point.
Ross makes a super catch as a tall man from the Special crowds his space.
Alex let this one pass as Bill called it, but the Special got it instead.
Bill swats the disc down with maximum aggression in the endzone, preventing a point against us!
The girl in the blue is the author-o-tay in this particular play.
Breanne from Blue Light Special totally kicks ass!
Colin makes a block.
Here is something crucial: Andrew is forcing Bill to throw forehand, but Bill attempts to throw backhand. It's a difficult, awkward  throw and ends up being blocked by Andrew at the point of release.
The "gazelle" from Blue Light Special.
Jen applies an excellent away force. As an aside, the thong-girl is covering a Clap (Colin's sister?) in the other field.

The white circle shows where Ross's feet are after a controversial catch in the endzone. Even with video it was hard to say if it was "in" or not. Blue Light Special gave it to us though.
Teacher's "Strike": Kim nails Danny in the mid-section with the disc after a huge grab by home. Is that any way to thank the guy who threw you such a nice hammer?
Danny.
Andrew could have thrown it to the guy in the glasses but instead hesitated. Colin's presence threw him off.
