My current ongoing project. Arslan Senki and Soryuden are both fantastic series by the awesome Yoshiki Tanaka. They're also both my best friend's favorite series. So she begged me to write a cross-over between the two. There was a rough start, a false start, and then, eventually, this project was born.
It's a cross-over, of course, so if you know both series, you would probably enjoy it more. There are, after all, references to events in both shows. I'd recommend that you had watched at least one of the anime shows, both released by Central Park Media. Subtitled versions, which are my favorite, are in fact available for 15 bucks a tape from CPM (under the names The Heroic Legend of Arislan (corrected to Arslan on the DVD and last tape), and Sohryuden.
BUT if you haven't seen either, I'd like to think that it's still possible to enjoy it. There are a LOT of characters, but I do try to explain who they are. If I don't do a good job of that...then, well, I'm very sorry. ^^;;; (but you know that it IS a cross-over...)
This fic takes place at specific areas in the anime worlds of both series. In Souryuden, it occurs right after the explosion at Fairy Land. In Arslan Senki, it takes place right after Guibu's encounter with Silver Mask at Mount Demavont.
Warnings & Disclaimers: Shonen ai, violence, some angst. Both series belong to Yoshiki Tanaka, of course. Any gods mentioned from Arslan's world were taken from Sahari's investigations of the place, back at the Yaoi Shrine.
BTW-- not all of dream sequences are in order, and they're dreamed up by different people.

Angel's fantastic poem, for which the title of this series is actually named after. Based on the past between Tsuzuku & Arslan. The word " Shadows " if anyone looked it up in a dictionary, also means " sanctuary " and " haven ". Read it! It's beautiful!
At first, it wasn't intended to be a prequel. But while a lot of people like my original ending, they were...dissatisfied with it. So I added the last five pages.
Warnings and Disclaimers: Angst, some mild shonen ai, sucide references. And it's Angel's fault the story's pairings ended as it did...she told me she always liked *THAT* pair together, because the're so common together, and it was their pairing that drew her into fanfiction.
Side-story, kind of an interlude fic that takes place between "Silent Acquisition" and "Shadow's Sacrifice".

My newest story, written for the Yaoi Arslan ML 2004 contest. It won first place (out of three entries... ::cough::) It�s a story about Darun and Narcasse, and how their relationship first began. Kinda like a prequel to the anime.
It was originally supposed to be a separate series, unrelated to Shadow�s Sacrifice. But then it occurred to me that Shadow�s Sacrifice follows the Arslan anime and as this series takes place before the anime...well, I decided to mix them together. So references to this story may be made in Shadow�s Sacrifice as of chapter 16 and onwards, as a convenient background story for Narcasse, Darun, Guibu, and Eram. �My Heart to Joy� is now officially part of the Shadows Universe.
However, since this story was written separately, you do not have to read Shadow�s Sacrifice to enjoy this story and it still stands by itself, which is why it is listed separately on the Anime Fanfiction Index.

My awesome sister, desert_spyder, who is responsible for all the gorgeous winamp skins, was kind enough to composite me beautiful pictures for Shadow's Sacrifice. Kinda like the boxart for an anime dvd, or a movie poster advertisement. The first is a picture of Arslan and Tsuzuku. The second has the same two people as the last, but composited differently so it looks like one's thinking of the other. Too coool!
