Chapter 9~Traitor!

Yukari gasped, 'Oh! My! Gosh!' she saw the hug Huzuko gave Hitomi and couldn't help being really surprised, but the thing she didn't know was that the hug that Huzuko gave Hitomi was different. Its not the kind of hug that a boyfriend gives his girlfriend, its more like a comforting friendly hug.

The next day at school Yukari didn't bother to even say 'hi' to Hitomi even though she was dying to ask her about last night. She didn't want her bestfriend to misunderstand and think that she was spying on her though. Still she really wanted to talk to Hitomi, she found that many times her legs were bringing her to the direction where Hitomi was, but she always stopped herself in time, 'I've got to act as though I'm really angry at her or she'll never learn a lessen!' Yukari thought through clenched teeth while she was straining herself from going to Hitomi.

At lunch Hitomi was waiting at the benches at the track felt for Huzuko. She had promised to bring the sketches and she did. She still wasn't sure wheather Huzuko was trustworthy enough for this story. 'I hope he understands...' Hitomi thought to herself, suddenly she thought, 'goodness! I'm trusting this guy?' It was like another voice that was talking inside her that helped her realize her sudden mistake. She was about to gather her things up and go away when Huzuko came with a big smile on the face. The smile melted Hitomi's heart and she greeted him warmly with a, "Hey wassup Huzuko?"

"Sorry to keep you waiting," Huzuko said "Its no big deal, hey do you want to see the sketches? I brought them." Hitomi said cheerfully. "Thats tight, lemme see...." Huzuko looked at the sketches in wonder, 'It looks soooooo real! So alive, the drawing is so filled with warmth and love!' he thought to himself. "You must love these people, am I not right?" he asked. "Yes you are, I love them all...they are all my friends, friends that I can trust, friends that have been through alot with me, friends that will never ever leave my heart, even though I do not see them now, they are with me spiritually." Hitomi replied, her eyes were filled with tears now as she looked at the sketches, Huzuko caught her looking at a sketch labeled VAN. "Hey is that the guy you love? The king of Fanalia?" his heart was filling with jealousy at the moment and he wished he could tear the sketch to pieces, but of course he didn't. "Yes he is, he is the love of my life, he is the bastard that took away the other part of my heart, he is one that I will never forget....."

Huzuko patted Hitomi gently at the back, soothing her. They ate lunch in silence until Huzuko broke it. "You know what Hitomi?" "Yes, what?" "I really think you should enter your the Van sketch into the art contest, I already have an image of you winning the contest." Huzuko added cheerfully. "Yukari told me to do so too. But I don't really want to." the melancholy Hitomi said. "Comon! Cheer up! Do it for me, nonono! Do it for Van! It will be such an honor to him, don't you think?" "I guess you are right, yeah! I think I will enter the contest, no I'll enter today!" Hitomi suddenly felt lively and happy, she hadn't feel like this for along time!

When the bell rang, Hitomi and Huzuko departed from the tracks and said goodbye. Hitomi was walking to her locker when she suddenly heard something around the corner, it was coming from where Yukari's locker is, she peeked and saw that Yukari was talking with three girls, Hitomi immediantly regonized them. The three girls were the most popular girls in school, they were snooby, haughty, cry babies, etc, but they were also very pretty (not beautiful).They were called the 'Trio S' trio because there was three of them and 'S' because all of their names started with a 'S'. The head of the gang was called Sabrina a total snob. Sabrina had real big breasts (D) (thats why she is the head of the trio) and she makes an effort to stick it out more, the only class she gets an A in is PE because when she wear those kind of excersing bra, the PE teacher who is a guy spends all the while starring at her (typical), she was also the most richest in the three girls. Another girl called Sally was is a total loser but her prettiness saved her from going to that group, her breasts aren't that small either (C). The last of the gang is called Sarah, she is pretty too and a real total loser, more of a loser than Sally, her breasts don't really impress others (B), she is mostly of a loser to people that are high classes and more of a academic type, she is sly and witty and her charm makes loser guys melt into a puddle.

Hitomi was listening to the converstaion it went like this: "So Yukari, tell me about your friend with no breasts and her name starts with a H, please keep the name outta this convo because it disgusts me." Sabrina sarcasticly. "Yeah, since you to are bestfriends, I bet she told you what happened to her on her three day disappearence." added Sally. "You know what? I looked her name up in the name book and it meant 'the Eye' isn't that sick?" Sarah's shrill laughter sent chills down Hitomi's spine from her peeking place, Sarah's laughter reminded Hitomi of Dilandau Albatou. "Hey, Yukari, we don't have all day! Spit it out!"

Yukari didn't know what to say, but being able to talk to these girls was sort of like an honor for her, she has always been down under the drain, she wasn't a loser but she wasn't all that popular. "I...well....she...I..." Yukari stammered, they were closing in slowly. "Here, I'll give you 30 american money if you give us useful information." said the rich Sabrina. Yukari who has always been dazzled by money agreeded immediantly by nodding her her head. From her peeking place, Hitomi gaped in disbelife, 'How could she do this to me! Traitor! Yukari, you are never ever my friend anymore!!!!' she screamed inside herself.

"Hitomi!" Van felt Hitomi's unhappy aura, "Hitomi are you okay?!" 'She is crying! Is she is okay?' Van rushed to his balcony and looked at the mystic moon "Hitomi......." he said worridly. Then he remembered who was around, 'Ah! gosh! the Noovi Royal Family!'...."Allen where are you! I need your help!" Van whispered out loud, he really didn't know how to go through this without his best friend's help....he walked back to his bed and fell asleep into a bad dream....

'Van! He was calling to me! He must have sensed my unhappiness and scream. Sorry....' Hitomi was furious now, so angry at Yukari. Yukari was starting to the trio S how she had been acting weird how she had a pendent and all their secrets. The popular girls even said, "Hey Yukari, thanks, and you know what? We've invited you to join our group! Wanna?" Yukari was speechless, "Wow! well...." "Comon!" coaxed Sabrina. So Yukari has joined the popular group now, she felt good and guilty at the same time, then she though, "Its Hitomi's fault, friends just gatta get new friends!"

"So I guess this is the end of our friendship right?!" Hitomi suddenly walked out of the corner and surprised the girls. "Oh so the eye is here, WEll I guess thats it, for she has new and better friends, haha, Yukari I really do not know how did you survive with this girl around you!" Sabrina said in a mocking tone. Hitomi was burning with rage, oh how she wished she could slap the girl, but she kept her composure, there was already a group of people crowding to see what was going on, all eyes were on Hitomi right the second. Oh! Just how Hitomi wished for her pendent that time! She wished for it soooo bad! But she knew that nothing could help this personal conflict.

Hitomi was trembling with rage,  Sabrina then said to Yukari, "If you really want to join our popular group you have to slap your ex-friend on the face, and I mean right now." It was like a dare, Yukari hesitated, but then she thought of how boring Hitomi had been lately and how they weren't true to each other, when she thought about it she got even more angered by Hitomi.

Yukari was walking towards Hitomi, Hitomi stood there, she wasn't going to back down, she'll let her slap her and someday they'll all pay and she meant ALL. Yukari walked really close to Hitomi now, they were both not an foot away from each other. "Go on Yukari, if thats what you wish, do it!" Hitomi stared at Yukari with her feircest expression she had, the expression she had when she met Dilandau. Yukari took the dare, she lifted her arms and was sending her hand down when all of a sudden something got in the way and instead she slapped a Histroy book.
