The Personal Leave Database is quite similar to the Travel and Expense Claims Database, but with even more features.
Objectives:
Shortens the time for approval and processing
Keeps records in electronic form, reduce paper work
Allows approval/modification history tracking
Helps employees to manage their annual leaves as self-service, eg check the approval status of their requests, and thus reduces personnel staff's workload
Facilitates personnel staff in monitoring/managing staffs' leaves, calculating leave entitlements every year, etc.
Tight security control: users cannot see and edit documents not related to them
