The characters from the tutorial never die if you don't feed them, and don't need sleep as long as you give them a coffee or two.

If you get the most expensive bed you can afford straight away, your sims will sleep less, but get the same amount (of sleep). Now you have more time to, erm, cook?

Social levels are generally a lot higher if you have more than one person living in the house.

If you have a baby, and both parents work, get them to each take alternate days off. That way, you won't get sacked, but your family will flourish!

If you're short on cash, marry someone who has enough to keep you and a few (hundred) kids going for a few (hundred) years. You can marry as many people as you like, be they male or female.

There are many ways to kill off a sim that you are bored with or annoyed with. A), lock them in a room with some cheap wooden chairs and a fireplace. Get the inexperienced cook to light the fire and wait. Hmm... Or B) Remove the steps from the swimming pool and leave them. C) Don't feed them, and D) Delete them from the family screen. Ideal for getting rid of a family in a hurry, but boring. Very boring.

Both school buses and carpools will wait for an hour from the point they arrive. Now we can all sleep once again...

If you don't like using the money cheat, but are a bit strapped for cash - Jan Mylet sent this tip (I don't know if it works). If you buy a snack for 5 Simoleons, you will find that it can be sold for 15 if you go into buy mode, making you 10 Simoleons. This only works if you have the 'move_objects on' cheat on.

If you can't be bothered to go through the bother of downloading the nude patch - Alvis Duong e-mailed this tip (I don't know if it works though). First, put a shower in and make sure that the glass is facing you. Make the sim you want to see nude take a shower there. As soon as the sim goes in (when the blur is off), quickly pause the game and hold down [Ctrl], [Shift] and [C]. Type in move_objects on and press enter. Go into build mode and move the shower using the hand tool. Et voila!

DO NOT create an incompatible family, with a man and a wife who hate each other. Look at the guide of star signs below, and make sure that the two match.
