Welcome to In Medias Res. In Medias Res literally means "into the midst of" - Here, we strive towards getting into the midst of real vampirism. The aims of this site are to promote and educate the public on the condition known as real vampirism, and to provide a place away from myths and media misconceptions of mythical vampirism. We realise and understand, of course, that many out there enjoy the RPG aspect, and love to occasionally enjoy the lifestyle too, and for those into both these topics/interests, I am sure there are many places online and off, willing and happy to accomodate. While this site is open to all with an interest, it has been purposefully designed for those searching for the truth on this topic.

Choosing to dress, act, and live a certain way, comes from conscious choice. Real vampirism is a life condition which we suffer from, through no choice of our own. In Medias Res was originally created for those residing in the UK and Europe, but through careful planning and consideration, IMR is now global, therefore all who are of legal age are welcome here. Membership is open to those who know themselves to have the vampiric condition, but the door is also open to those who are swans, and others who have a vested interest, the knowledge and willingness to help the vampiric community. We realise the value of having assistance from all aspects of the community, and as such, putting that help to better use is something which we have decided is a necessity.
