Welcome to Oblations! Oblations is the name of my small business venture. I make handmade power malas, fashioned from the most exquisite semi precious stone beads, as well as the additions of 14k, 18k, and 22k gold beads, sterling silver beads, and pendants. Malas were originally fashioned for one purpose, and that was for chanting the Holy Names, hence "japa mala" or chanting beads. The concept of the mala, although original, has not remained so, as other religions and beliefs picked up the idea, and gave it other names, such as the ever popular rosary.
These malas were fashioned for the purpose of chanting the Holy Names if you wish to do so, but they were also designed for the purpose of healing the body, mind and spirit, and also have a high grade aesthetic value as well. Certain stones connect to certain chakras, as well as to various other symptoms and ailments of mind and body, and help us to step onto the path of inner and outer healing. The stones themselves can also be used for meditative purposes. Whatever your need, a mala can be fashioned for that purpose. Or, if you simply wish to own something unusual, and not found currently available elsewhere, a sacred mala is an excellent choice in gifts.
