From time to time, life tends to become burdensome, feeling as though we are carrying the weight of the world around on our shoulders. And during those times, it's good to have a friendly person to chat with, that can assist you in getting things off your chest, and easing the burden. And sometimes, it just helps to have someone to listen to you. Informal counselling is a new feature offered freely by In Medias Res. Sessions can be booked to suit both parties, and strict confidentiality is assured. Your details are not passed on, or made available to anyone, nor are any details of any session passed on to anyone. Counselling is done via a process called listening and use of empathy skills. The Indians expressed it as: "Walking a mile in another person's moccasins". It is the art/skill of listening so intently, and having the ability to identify so closely with another person, that you experience the other person's situation, thoughts and emotions.
