PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE: ASSESSMENT TOOLS
|
||||
| Home: | Fostering the attitude
of reflection and self awareness in our students must be a goal for all
educators, and the regular use of self and peer assessment tools is in itself an indicator of an
educator's commitment to students and student learning.. An awareness of meta-cognitive processes not only facilitates the
ability to analyze one's own and others' work in constructive ways, but more
importantly, encourages a generalized attitude towards reflection on one's
strengths, weaknesses, and behaviour in general. The following samples are just
some of the self and peer assessment tools that I feel lead students to a more
active awareness of their own thinking processes.
Grade 2: Student Final Assessment (sample) Grade 2: Home literacy record sheet Grade 4 Language Arts: Peer Editing Grade 4: Language Arts: Student Friendly Writing Rubric Any Grade: Group Work Self Assessment Any Grade: Behaviour Checklist Self Assessment
