Largh's Orc Boyz

A fearsome sight, but sooner or later they start picking on each other...

These boyz are from the 5th edition of Warhammer. They were on sale, and I needed more orcs. I always need more orcs...

Largh is the boss of an Orc regiment that followed Orgat from the beginning. They are Orgat's most trusted troops (they think) and the first to be chosen for almost anything, the first to go forward, the first (and only) to stand watch, sometimes the first to choose the meat (well, after Orgat then, and somehow always after a couple of others as well... "Hum, p'raps we should talk ter da Chief 'bout dis...").

I had way too much orcs with additional choppa, from the batallion box and starter game, so I ordered a couple of shield sprues from the Games Workshop Website, and started cutting off a few weapons. The result is what you see now. I'm probably going to buy myself another box of Orc Boyz one day, and add them to this regiment. But that might take a while... These Orcs were painted Snot Green, washed with Green or Dark Green Ink, and highlighted with Goblin Green. The metal parts were painted Boltgun Metal highlighted with Chainmail, and sometimes washed with thinned-down Browin Ink to make them look rusty and worn. The tunics were painted Dark Flesh drybrushed with Graveyard Earth, and the throusers Scorched Brown highlighted with Snakebite Leather.
