When Max and Zack went to rescue Tinga,
Max was captured by Lydecker. She attacked Lydecker, thinking he had killed Tinga,
and his soldiers used their tazers on her. Lydecker had two of his soldiers drug
and handcuff Max and he then took her to a motel to figure out his next move. He
got drunk and started talking weird just as the drugs wore off and Max came to. She
was groggy, but when Lydecker pulled a gun intending to kill her, she knocked it out
of his hands and knocked him out of his chair as well.
Still drunk, he told her he had planned to create the perfect soldiers so he could send them into battle and not lose any of them. He then said that a few perfect soldiers would be all it would take to take down Manticore. Max talked him into un-cuffing her and they got away. In a nearby warehouse of some sort Zack had called in Krit (right) and Syl (left) to help rescue Max. Just as they were about to follow a lead on her possible location, she came crashing through the doors, with Lydecker in tow. When her siblings asked why she'd brought him, she told them he was going to help them take down Manticore.
The five of them planned their attack. While Zack and Max went to blow up the DNA lab, where they were all created, Syl and Krit went to blow up other vital parts of Manticore. Renfro discovered the base has been breached and put the base on alert. Syl and Krit were the only two that made it out. They informed Lydecker that Zack had been captured. Lydecker told them that Max was KIA (killed in action). What they all didn't know was that Zack would martyr himself so Max could be revived.
