Max finds out Brin made it out when Zack comes to ask for her
medical assistance. He says, "She got careless, she got caught, end of story" but
Max refused to let it end there. Assuming Brin was grabbed by Lydecker, Logan
helps track him down. After a short interrogation, it turns out an old military pal of
Lydecker's, Major Jake Sanders, grabbed Brin.
Once Lydecker helps them get inside Sanders' stronhgold, he turns on them. Max and Zack are taken to holding cells, where they come face to face with Brin. She's developed a form of Progeria that caused her to age rapidly.
the three of them eventually break out. Lydecker contacts them on a radio and tells them Brin will die without treatment. Brin says she doesn't want to die so Max and Zack leave Brin on a park bench, promising to come back for her. Brin is taken back to Manticore, treated, and reprogrammed.
Brin reappears when Max and Tinga rescue Case and Charlie, but Brin lets her go. When Max and her siblings infiltrate Manticore, Max tries to convince Brin to come with her, but Brin refuses. Max leaves her handcuffed to a set of window bars. It's uncertain whether or not Brin died in the DNA lab explosion.
