Merlin�s Cave

There I was walking along a golden shore,
When suddenly I came upon a rocky door,
So I gave a Knock, Thrice upon the rock,
And heard the rusty key turn in the rusty lock,

It didn�t take a seer to guess who lived there,
So I wasn�t surprised to see his silver hair,
When the wizened wizard let me in,
The wizard was Merlin, unless he has a twin,

I walked over to warm myself by the violet flame,
And started to wonder why I came,
My eye�s flickering around this cavernous room,
Decorated Imhotep style, like a tomb,

In a darkened corner I spot a cluttered shelf,
There reading a book I spot Lliad the Elf,
Dressed in green sitting with crossed legs,
Just between the potion bottles and dragon eggs,

He looked up and gave me a wink and a wave,
I smiled and carried on looking round the cave,
There was a fish tank filled with tiny whales,
Next to half a dozen Holy Grails,

�So what do you think of our little home�
Startled I looked down to see Cedric the Gnome,
Who had spoken these words to me,
I Said, �Well so far I like what I see�,

�But what are those strange things�,
Pointing to a cage of fluff and wings,
And two creatures, one as black as night,
And the other as white as light,

�Batcats�, answered Cedric with a laugh,
And don�t even ask about the Unicoraff,
�Well� I said, �this is certainly a strange place�,
While watching a spider making lace,

Then my eye�s carried on examining the room,
When suddenly there was a purple flash and a boom,
And Merlin was back with a tray of tea and treats,
And we settled into some comfy seats,

We sat by the fire and gazed at the flame,
�I suppose� he said, �You�ve been wondering why you came,
As you know you wouldn�t find me by chance,
No matter how well you necromance,

So as you may have guessed I want a word,
It was my call on the wind you heard�,
Then he turned his tea into Bacardi,
And took his pipeweed out of his cardi.

Deep in thought he filled his pipe,
And lit it from his wand with a little swipe,
Chortling to himself at his little joke,
As he blew rings of Rainbow smoke,

He picked up his mug and took a swig,
In the corner I saw Lliad and Cedric doing a jig,
Then they jumped on the Batcats and flew around the cave,
When I turned back to Merlin his face was grave,

�Unfortunately I brought you here for a serious matter,
Not just for a cuppa and a natter,
There are some things manifesting that are tragic,
Now more than ever the world needs magick,

The end times are drawing near,
Though you personally have nothing to fear,
The world faces a difficult time,
And needs more miracles than water into wine,

You must have seen the omens and the signs,
That show you the drawing near of these times,
When the whole world appears to be going crazy,
Soon they�ll cross a buttercup with a daisy,

Or maybe a cow and a dog,
Who do they think they are to play at God,
With their weapons of mass destruction,
And a world wide web of conspiracy and corruption,

These dark wizardlizards know their stuff,
But now the Masters have decreed, enough is enough,
This Babylonian Brotherhood have gone too far,
It�s time to activate the planets Merkabah,

We�re gonna take Mother Earth for a little spin,
Just to make sure we win,
We�ll take her for a little trip through time,
And give them a little something to go with their wine,

So here, take this energetic little potion,
Take it across the world to every ocean,
Take it to the desserts and the forests too,
Remember this energy is always with you,

The dragons are starting to stir in their sleep,
And so too the Leviathans of the deep,
Ready to help the Rainbow Warriors in their tasks,
These magical creatures hidden behind human masks,

They will aid and protect you wherever you go,
Remember you are always safe, I thought you should know,
Though it may appear a reckless mission,
My ops are always conducted with flawless precision�,

�Well� he said, � I�ve said what I had to say,
So good luck, have a nice day,
I�ve finished off my pipe and my booze,
So I think I�ll have a little snooze�,

And he closed his eyes and promptly started to snore,
So I put on my hat and headed for the door,
A very one sided conversation I thought,
When suddenly my attention was caught,

There just inside the door,
By something I hadn�t spotted before,
It was a package sitting on the table,
I read my name on the label,

I was surprised by his unexpected gift,
I tore at the paper, my finger nimble and swift,
Silently praying it wasn�t another pair of magic socks,
With great expectations I opened the box,

And discovered it empty, there was nothing there,
Unless it was something thinner than air,
�Aha� said Cedric, his smile a beam,
You gift is the gift of the unseen�.
