Now it was Sunday, and we decided, unwisely, to go to Massone, one of the Meckas of single pitch sport climbing in Sarca valley. After having queued and climbed a little Katarina and I had had enough and decided to go to Laghel, opposite the castle in Arco. We wanted to climb some easy multi pitch and consulted the guide book "Arco Rock" which suggested Diretta Gobbi, a four pitch route, 80 m, graded 5c, 5b, 5c, 4a. It was great but as we had finished the third pitch we thought we might as well skip the last 4a pitch and rappel down. Then we decided to climb up anyway and walk down just to enjoy the views which are fantastic. Did I say that already? The castle rock opposite Laghel is just amazing. Anyway, the last pitch turned out to be really tricky and the book "Pareti del Sarca" is more accurate to put it at 6a! Probably a typo but still a nice surprise! This was Katarina's favorite route of the trip; maybe not the last part which she managed just fine but didn't appreciate the surprise! That night we had pasta with pomodoro sauce and played card games all night with our Austrian friends.
