After the near debacle on Cesare Levis the day before we decided to go for something where we would be in full control. Multipitch sport climbing starting in Arco sounded nice and Matteo's friends had given their thumbs up for Cinque Stagioni, with a warning for the 6th pitch which is "physical but no problem if you are strong"! Cinque Stagioni consists of 8 pitches covering 180 meters starting from the bottom of the valley in the town of Arco up to the saddle between Laghel and the castle rock. The difficulty ranges from 4c to 5c with a difficult 6th pitch that involves a long reach to an artificial plastic hold! Anyway, this was perfect for me, Katarina and Barbara as the final route of the trip. The "grande nicchia", the "small" black hole in the picture, provided shade during our lunch break and an excellent viewpoint to enjoy, well, the views, again. After nearly five hours of enjoyable climbing we topped out and walked back down to the town of Arco. We went for beer and bruschettas at Matteo's favorite café and some shopping after that, of course...
