Amara is often mistook for a boy (as this image shows) since she likes to wear boy's clothing. In fact, many gilrs, Mina and Serena included, think she's a very handsome "boy". The truth is that Amara is a lesbian (her partner is Sailor Neptune). Needless to say, Sailor Buben and I are on the edges of our seats waiting to see how the writers handle this. The fact that she likes to speed around on a motorcycle all the time further confuses the gender determination issue. Despite all of this, Sailor Uranus is extremely dedicated to her mission, and she would not hesitate to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Sailor Uranus is the holder of the first Talisman, the Space Sword. With it, Sailor she is able to unleash deadly waves of energy. Both she and Sailor Neptune are after pure hearts, as is the evil Professor Tomoe. I think something fishy is going on.
You might think that adding two more Sailor Scouts makes the job for the first five easier. Not so. While Sailor Moon and company are out to fight for love and justice (and cheesecake), Uranus and Neptune's mission is solely to find the three Diamond Heart Crystals, which can be found within three pure hearts. These crystals would stop an impeding disaster that would destroy Earth. The two of them are concerned with this objective, and nothing else. Such a myopic viewpoint often leads to fights with the other Scouts, but I believe they will have no choice but to join forces in the long run. Sailor Scouts should play nice with each other. Sailor Uranus's World Shaking attack is awesome and rivals the attacks of Sailor Jupiter. If any of you have played Megaman X3 for Super NES, World Shaking will remind you of X's super-charged Triad Thunder attack. This is just a theory, but Sailor Buben and I believe that they'll just try to make Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune seem like really really really good friends. As it turns out, the North American writers have made them cousins. Fascinating. It was rather amusing to see them enter a love contest as a joke. Who knows what's going on inside their heads.
