Quick and Easy Handbag click for a larger image

I made this bag from a pattern I found online that I can't find the link to right now. I used an F hook and worsted weight yarn. I plan to make more of these - it was easy and fun to make (and I love shells) .

I wanted to make a bag for my friend Emalene, and all she requested was something just large enough for her cellphone and her camera. The black bag is I guess the "prototype". The body of the bag is a little less than 5" square. I liked this pattern so much that I made another ( blue and beige - although the colours didn't scan properly) and since it was a little larger, I made a little pouch to go inside to hold credit cards and bills. She has since chosen the blue one to keep. I may have to rename this "Emalene's Bag" :) Pattern available.

Mary Roberts posted this mesh pattern to the Crochet Partners mailing list and I thought it would make a great bag. The purse has two compartments, divided by a section of black sc. I used an F hook and worsted weight yarn so the bag is quite closely woven and sturdy. The purse is actually GREEN and black, but until I take a proper picture, we'll settle for how my scanner interprets green :)

This is another experiment of mine, made with yarn that I ran out of :) So instead of a regular purse size, it's a "mini". But at least it came out looking the way I wanted it, so I can use the prototype pattern for bigger bags. This bag is actually trimmed with green, another victim of my scanner!
