Materials:
Worsted weight yarn: a couple ounces Colour A (or less) and a few yards each of Colours B and C
G hook
tapestry needle to weave in ends and attach butterfly
fabric for lining
zipper

With Colour A, chain as wide as you want the case, making sure chain is a multiple of 4 plus 2.
Rd 1: working in one loop of chain, sc in each sc to end, 3 sc in last ch; sc in each ch other side, 2 sc in last ch (total sc per Round should be a multiple of 8).Do not join rounds. Mark beginning of each round with contrasting yarn.
Rd 2:sc in each sc around
Repeat Round 2 until case is about 4 inches high, or 2/3 the final desired height.On last sc of Round, change to colour B
Rd 3: working one stitch in each sc, work (ss, sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc) Repeat ( ) until end of Round, change to Colour A in last st.
Rd 4: ss in next st, ch 4, working one stitch in each st, work (dc,hdc,sc,ss,sc,hdc,dc,tr) Repeat ( ) until end of Round, ss in next st, ch1
Repeat Round 2 once, changing to colour C on last sc
Repeat Round 3 and 4 once
Repeat Round 2 (3 times) ending at one side of case.
Ch 10 join with ss in same st. fasten off. Weave in ends.
Make butterfly in colour scheme and attach wherever you want!
Make lining for case with zip and sew into case(this I did not do myself so I hope you know more about sewing than me).
