COASTER:

Ch 2

Round 1: 6 sc into 2nd ch from hook, ss to 1st ch to join.
Round 2: In *next st work (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc), ss in next st*, repeat from *to* twice
Round 3: ch 4, *sk next st, hdc in next st, ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook (picot made), ch 1, sk next st hdc in next st, ch 1, dc in next st, ch 1, repeat from * ss to 3rd beg ch to join.
Round 4: *[ch 2, work 2 hdc together over next 2 ch sp (yo, insert hook into ch sp, yo, pull through, yo, insert hook in next ch sp, yo, pull through, yo, pull through all lps on hook)], ch 2, ss in picot, repeat [ ]* repeat from *to * twice, ch 2 ss in dc.
Round 5: *ch 3, work 2 hdc tog over next 2 ch sp, ch 3, ss in ss*, repeat from * to * 5 times.
Round 6: *ch 5, sc in next ch sp, ch 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch2 dc in ss, ch 2*, repeat from * to * end with ss in 3rd ch of beg ch 5.
Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in Ends. Block and starch lightly.
