Under Construction
Return to the timeline
Having been consumed by the genesis of Kryastal, the two beings, one ancient beyond measure and the other relatively young but powerful, who created the realm are finally reborn in mortal form.  With no knowledge of their true form, they would wander the world for centuries living countless lives.  Though it is still considered part of the Second Age, this era has become known in the last few centuries as the "Time of Wandering".

circa 953 BR (2425 SA)
The first known reappearance of the creators.

712 BR (2666 SA)
A disease appears in the kingdom of Menava on
Akudrim that kills half of the people it infects.  No cause for this disease can be found.

602 BR (2676 SA)
The disease has developed into a full blown plague and has spread throughout
Akudrim, Zanthus, and Kryastal Main.  Religious leaders in the Kalame' come to believe the plague is an attack on their institution itself.  An inquisition is established to investigate the matter.

503 BR (2775 SA)
The plague, called the "Rose-Ring Death" because of the red colored ring-shaped lecions that appear on the skin, is seemingly eradicated by medicine developed by mages.  However, millions had died over the previous decades.

493 BR (2785 SA)
Over a century after it begun, the Inquisition is at last concluded with no proclamation given concerning the cause of the plague and thousands of people dead at the hands of the inquistors.

375 BR (2903 SA)
     On
Kryastal Main, King Francis III of Balamore is assassinated on the apparent order of Queen Catherine of Salin.  His cousin, Prince Natanjul, succeeds to the throne of Balamore.  War is declared first by Balamore and then by Salin.  Takris Free State issues declaration of neutrality.  War consists of small skirmishes for the most part and is called the "War of the Bull and the Stag".

365 BR (2913 SA)
Full blown war has broken out on
Kryastal Main.  Takris Free State is invaded by Balamore.  Remnants of Takris' government signs a treaty of alliance with Salin.

345 BR (2933 SA)
War of the Bull and the Stag ends with the signing by all parties of the "Armistice of the Great Tower".  Takris Free State had regained old borders, but Salin has lost territory in the south and west to Balamore.

113 BR (3165 SA)
Evidence surfaces that King Francis III was killed by an agent of his cousin who succeeded him on the throne.  The "Treaty of Vecknor" is signed declaring a permanent peace between Balamore and Salin.  Portions of the conquered territory are returned to Salin.

78 BR (3200 SA)
An army of undead led by
Kuladar himself attacks the Illuminari.  In the battle, Gaea and Quantivilles are believed to have been slain.  Kuladar uses power drawn from the gods as they died to seal the Illuminari and Tenaria within it.  The "Dark Tribulation" begins.

28 BR (3250 SA)
     Much of
Kryastal Main is under Kuladar's control though the kingdoms of Balamore, Takris, and Salin still exist.  Puppet kings who owe allegiance to Kuladar rule these countries.  To expand the Dark God's influence, Balamore invades Zauberra, Salin invades Akudrim, and Takris invades Zanthus.

23 BR (3255 SA)
     Forces led by
Ryder Salice and Telana of the Starwind clan infiltrate Kryastal Main and begin a guerrila war in resistance to Kuladar's onslaught.  Thus begins the "Dark War"

20 BR (3258 SA)
All land north of the mountains on
Zauberra is brought under the control of Balamore.  Salin conquers territory in Isiria west of the Great Isirian Forest south to the Hope Mountains, including the capital of Vassa

13 BR (3265 SA)

Ryder's and Telana's forces have taken back territory from the northern border area of Balamore north to the Eiskalteratem Mountains and east to the lands surrounding Tower Wall Mountains and the Forest of Solitude.

11 BR (3267 SA)

Zanthus at last repels the invasion of its land by Takris.  Though victorious, Zanthus refrains from further warfare to recover militarily.

8 BR (3270 SA)
     Agents of
Kuladar kidnap Ryder's and Telana's twin children who are named after the departed gods.  Despite a valiant rescue attempt, both are killed.  Ryder and Telana leave their forces in the command of their generals as they take up seperate quests.  Ryder seeks a way to defeat Kuladar and Telana seeks to free Tenaria.

4 BR (3274 SA)

Telana leads a small band of adventurers that would, after a long struggle, free the imprisoned Tenaria from the Illuminari.  With her release, Gaea and Quantivilles, who were thought to be dead, reappear.  Ryder would then challenge the Dark God directly.  As the battle wore on, Ryder channels power directly from Izneria, god of magic, and combines it with his own enabling him to cast a spell forcing Kuladar back into the Dimulata and binding him within.  Thus ends the Dark War.  All conquered territories return to the authority of those who held it before the war.

1 BR (3278 SA)
After an arduous quest, High Druid
Garren the Sparrowhawk and the mage Ryder Salice with the aid of Sol D'vontcloud and Telana of the Starwind clan gain entry to the Great Tower which has been sealed since the beginning of time.  Inside the tower, Garren and Ryder regain their memories and the knowledge of their true form.
