The land simply known as Kryastal Main is the second largest land mass in the realm. This land holds a lot of interest, as well as a large portion of the world's population. It is from here that the Lords of the Realm rule. From their large black stone tower, which rises beyond the clouds and mortal sight, they watch the people. This land also holds the shrines of four gods. Two kingdoms and one free state also exist here. The Kingdom of Salin resides in the north of the continent. It is primarily made up of two cities. One of these is the port city of Anatar. Here imported goods are received and Salinian goods are sent to all corners of Kryastal. The second city, Vecknor, is the capital and home of the monarchy. Salin is typically under the control of a queen. In terms of military power, this kingdom is a lightweight. They prefer to use more diplomatic approaches. This kingdom is on good terms with most governments. Another kingdom on Kryastal Main, Balamore, has most of its people living in one city of the same name. Its populace consists mosly of farmers who sell their crops to neighboring cities and other cities around the world. Balamore, for such a small kingdom, has an impressive military. They control the lands south of the Council of Mages compound and the Takris Free State. Within their lands are the ruins of Kalak. Kalak was the area from which Kuladar led his army during the Dark Wars. These ruins are now a haunted and accursed place. The Takris Free State is run by an elected council. This city-state has a powerful military as well. It is one of the few areas in the realm to have guilds organize their businesses. Of the three sovereign nations on Kryastal Main, they are the most quiet, keeping to themselves most of the time. Finally, there is the Mages Council in its tower complex. This is the headquarters of the most powerful organizations in all of Kryastal. They govern and regulate the guild schools, enforcing their laws and edicts. Every year, the guildmaster of each guild is called here to discuss important issues facing their kind. History is made there seemingly every day of the year. |
