ANDAIR fuel valve installation

The ANDAIR fuel valve installation took quite some thinking. The problem is that the valve is mounted under the cover.
The ANDAIR valve has holes with no threads, neccesitating the need to have access to nuts on the underside.

Then, to make things interesting, the cover has to be off of the valve in order to mount the fuel lines, but somehow one must keep the valve in the correct location whilst one bends the fuel lines. My solution was to make a fake cover which temporarely holds the fuelvalve in the correct location. I will probably later on stiffen the real cover with angles.

Being a tightwad, I did not want to spring for the $50.- or so swivel coupling for the fuel valve. I think I found a solution where one does not need the megabuck swivel coupling.

As you can see, the left side bulkhead connector feeds with a 180 degree loop back into the ANDAIR fuel valve. Seems to work just perfect, at least with bends made on my bender.

I used a similar 90 degree bulkhead connector on the right side. Then, the fuel line goes under the control stick over to the left side. After contemplating various options for support, I decided to just hang them off of the main gear brackets.

This is the start of my fuel filter plumbing, I did not like the way the fuel filter was mounted, around the corner so to say, in the Van's drawings. I decided that here is where it would be a lot easier to get to during anuals, etc.

Here's the fuel pump, moved over to the side as far as possible, ready for wiring, and riveting to the bottom floor panel
