Money for Nothing When I attended Northwestern University during the early 80's I appoached the student-run paper about doing political cartoons for them. I had always loved how a single image could summarize an event, and sometimes put a humorous twist to it.
My personal favorites came from two particularly good artists: Greg Oliphant and Jeff MacNelly. They were truly masters at this. The following is my work from this brief career. Each piece took about ten hours to complete, including any needed research. Let me point out that this was the first time that I was actually paid for my artwork; a whopping $3 per illustration. |
