The Raiders couldn't have asked for a better turn out tonight, 12 players
present. (WTG for that, team!) Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to save
us from tonight's heartbreaker.
After a one point difference in the beginning rounds, the Raiders took a
four point lead in the fifth round of the first game, 18 - 22 with dead
rock/pop stars and maintained that lead, 23 - 27 in liquids and sauces
beginning with "M". A double point Canadian city category tied
the game at 33. Fourplay snuck by us and took the win, 39 - 37, in the
biblical woman category.
The Raiders started the second game with a ten point lead in a
double point Robert Duvall movies category, 12 - 2. We maintained a
descent lead until the fourth round, shades of red, when the Fours brought
the lead down to 3 points, 20 - 23. Kids tv shows brought the lead down to
2 points, 24 - 26 and then Fourplay's knowledge of Scooby-Doo earned them
the victory, 31 - 29.

A little sibling rivalry went a long way for the Rockers tonight!
Rockers came out ahead in the first round, "On A College
Campus," 6-4 and they never looked back! We added to the lead
in Garth Brooks, showed our diversity by pulling away in the Jimmy Buffett
cat, then Sea-Rocker showed her prize winning stuff by scoring big time in
the Trophies cat. After a "wilde" round with oscar and a
little arts and crafts, Rockers took the win 32-19.
Baby bro Yapp said that didn't mean anything, cause Sispris's team beat
him in the first game and went on to lose two on Saturday. But we
showed him that he's messing with the wrong sister, and that a ROCK win is
no fluke! In a quick game, we took our 6-3 lead ("BB"
words) and turned it into a 35-18 victory. AAAHHHHWWWOOOO!!!
Great game Packers! Keep up the good work next season...
And remember Rocks....there's room for granite and quartz in our quarry (I
am so weird!)

I don't know what to say about this game, we
started out so out numbered I thought we were goners. We tied up
game one 33-33 and squeaked out the win 39-37. Game 2 first round
was double pointer & raiders had a 12-2 lead & at one point a 17-7
lead. We finally got a double pointer in our favor & with the
final cat ( thank godness for old cats) we took game 2 31-29.

(commentary) Great games tonight everyone. Rats jumped out to
a early lead in the first game and just hung on to take the opener 31-21.
In the second game the Wonders came out wiggling like mad and jumped to
the early lead. The Rats fought back and took the lead halfway
through on British sitcoms cat. The rats pulled out the
victory...wrapping it up on U2 songs 34-23. Always a pleasure
playing against you Wiggling Wonders!

first place. In both games they took the lead in the first cat and never
looked back. Not much to say but good game Rockers and my big sister Hope.

An easy start for us this week as we took on the Lizards team, who have
really had a tough time lately. At the start of the game, there were
several of us against only two Liz^ards. More Lizards showed up
later, but more LOLers did as well and we took them out in two quick
games.
The first game we raced out to a 15-2 lead after three rounds when I
finally found a pen to take notes with! After a phenomenal John
Travolta round that put us up 21-5, the Liz^ards tied us 5-5 on the
Basketball Teams, to make the score 26-10. We won on Burt Reynolds
movies, 32-12.
The Lizards took two minutes of fame on Women's Magazines, taking an early
lead in the second game, 6-4. LOLers had it all coming back to us in
Celine Dion, as we intercepted and took back the lead 10-6. From off
the shores of the US, we scoped out which countries have a coastline and
increased the lead to 16-8, and continued the near-sweeps with Bones in
the human body (6-1) and famous Runners (8-1), to win the second game
30-10.
Great game Liz^ards, you guys are great sports and did great considering
the odds.

The Amazing Name Changing Rats changed their names between each round and
it became contagious so that the SeXy WiGgLiNg WoNdErS changed their name
a few times too.
Although the Rats slobbered to a victory again tonight, we didn't make it
easy for them. We played hard and scored well and although we lost
it wasn't a slobberfest.
Game on started off with what you would think to be an easy cat - Disney
Attractions. The score was tied 2 - 2, who would have thought that
between both teams we would only get 4 answers? The Rats almost swept the
Things in an Amusement Park cat, but although we took away their sweep we
only managed to score 1 point giving the Rats a 10 - 3 lead. Words
starting with OUT was up next followed by Major Advertisers. With a
score of 18 - 10 (The Rats up by 8) the next cat was Ends in ISM. It
seemed that the majority of opionion was that any word could end in ism,
and thats how the answers were typed in. Would you consider that
guessingism?? Famous Explorers was next followed by British Sitcoms
and a win for the Rats 31- 21.
Game Two started off well for the Wonders with Things found in a Kitchen,
we took the lead this time 6 - 3. Carpenters Songs kept us ahead 8 -
5. Jerry Lewis movies put us ahead by 7 points and it was looking
like a 3 game series. Although we did not score in the Assoc. w/
Ancien Eygyp cat we were still ahead by 4 points going into the Things
found in a baby nursery Cat. The Rats almost tied it up by scoring 6
points (Afterall, How could they have all them babies and not know what is
in a nursery??) We were still ahead by one point - 17 -16. With
Knights of the Round Table the Rats took our lead and the score was now 22
- 18. A possible win was still a possiblity and we really would have
loved to play
game three. The Rats had other ideas and they slobbered to victory
with Commenwealth Nations and
U2 Songs. Final Score 34 -23.
