(commentary)  i woke up and soon realized that 5 raiders would be no match for the mighty rats.   the raider highlight was it was tied 2 a piece after the first round and went downhill quickly from there. rats went up 5-7 on things in a heating system, up 9-13 on greek dietes, 15-25 on a double point round of things found on a remote control and ended it 19-31 on maryland things.   game 2 was over in 4 short cats.   3-5 on group names of birds, 7-17 on a double point john cusack cat, 10-24 on christmas decorations and they finished us on spices.    great game rats, hopefully we'll have more raiders next time to at least make it competive.

(commentary)  Sixpack was a lot of fun to play and took both games quickly.  With only 4 members present, we gave it a good shot, but fell short.  To Sixpack, you guys are great sports and I personally wish all teams could be more like yours!!

Yay Rockers!! and a collective "whew!" The LOL's made us sweat it out right down to the last answer, but the Rockers managed the victory in 2 close games.

Bot tried to spook us all with that 5 syllable words cat, but we just doused him in shaving cream and moved on. The LOL's may know their 80's music, but with 2 hairdressers, a sorority girl and a player who never misses a chance to score with "hooters," we took them with cats like things you put in your hair, greek tragedies and arena football.

WTG LOL's on a very well played game!
YAY YAY YAY ROCKS...I believe our captain said it best...Third Rock, FIrst Place!
Congrats to my co mvr's hope and rock and to the whole rocking team!

The Rats wielded their mighty swords, dripping with slobber, and not an answer went unsatisfied before they walked off of the battlefield...once again, claiming victory over their opposers!  The Rats left their manners in bed, being very stingy with the points, hardly sharing at all with the Raiders today.  The first game's start, the competition was challenging, but soon the tale (tail?) unraveled and it became clear from the tourney room all the way back to the sewer from whence we came, that The Rats were gonna come home with the blue ribbon.
We smashed categories such as Greek Gods, things on a remote control, and things of Maryland.  As we forged into game 2, our spirit of generosity was still grossly lacking.  We scurried out of the gate scoring 8 out of 10 on Christmas ornaments.
We showed no mercy again with another 8 out of 10 answers in names of bird groups.  Then...what cat do you suppose came out next?
None other than the very Ev-submitted category of John Cusack films!  This was also a double point round....need I say more?
We wound up game 2 with a clean sweep on Herbs and Spices.  Wonderfully played game to all!  Have a wacky, happy Halloween!

(commentary)  The Six-pack returned to the winners circle today winning both games against a good, determined, but undermanned Lizard team. The firt game began with a Champ round, an ominous sign.....were the ridic gremlins at play? Consistent play from the Pack had an 11-5 lead until Nedi showed her expertise at American authors and poets , sweeping the cat for the lizards cutting the lead to 11-9. We then swept the next 3 cats to pull ahead to stay, ending the game with Liguids that begin with the letter M.

The second game started with 5 syllable words which tested both teams. The Lizards got the only answer to take a 1-0 lead. Then the hidden  Things in an aquarium cat appeared and the Pack took a 4-2 lead. The lead built up to 22-12 with great play from the whole team until the Lizards made a run with the Flora/Fauna song cat which brought them to within 25-17. we then used ou knowledge of waking up in the morning to win the game. Great effort!
 Pack!!!!...Good game Lizards

What a fantastic game we had this morning!  I thought we were doomed as MilleniumLOL & I faced over a half a dozen Rockers for the first two rounds.  But one by one the LOLers began to show up and we made a pretty decent showing!

We were in a real rut until the Muscles That Originate In The Back (or something like that) came up and dagny did some great scoring for us.  However, by now the Rockers were ahead 21-9 and lookin' sharp.  The following round, Best Picture nominations, found us doing rather well despite our shorthandedness, and we scored 6 points to bring the score to 15-25.  SapphirEM and Cherri-Ann-66 showed up as we went into Pennsylvania cities, where I honestly could have saved us (since I had this one really slow day at work and a map on the wall, so I memorized like 30 of them) but I missed quite a few (Gettysburg ACK!!!) and we wound up each scoring four, bringing the Rockers to 29 and us to 21.  Finally in the last round, things associated with Easter, we made a nice showing but their lead was just way too big and we lost 32-27.

The second game sure was interesting!  In the first round, we each scored five Tom Cruise films.  Thank God the LOLers knew them cuz I sure don't.  I kept thinking Kevin Costner.  Arena football teams was the Rockers big round, as they blasted off to a 12-6 lead.  Next up came 80's groups and my brain was just about fried.  Fortunately the teamies came through again and we closed in at 11-13.  Next up was a Champ Round, then words with five syllables.  I picked up about four or five typos.  LOL unfortunately none of what we put was there.  So two straight rounds of no scoring really had us anxious.  Burt Reynolds was another round I couldn't name anything besides "Striptease".  But yet AGAIN the LOLers surprised me and put us into the lead, 17-16!  The following round, things you put in your hair, was an Equality.  I put the five most obscure answers I could come up with: brylcreem, sun in, extensions, scrunchies, and streaks.  Then I suggested elastic bands out loud in /me fo!
rmat and Emily picked it up.  I really thought we had done better on this round, but the Rockers had more of the big Ten..and they took back the lead 22-19.  Army ranks hurt us even more, as the Rockers fell in and swooped down and bombed, us leaving a score of 22-28, which was only visible after the smoke cleared of course.  We LOLers really took it to them on the last round, though.  Things in the Vatican was the category, an Equality one as a matter of fact.  I said five and gave dags a few, then as we watched the answers scroll, it was LOLers LOLers LOLers and I was about to FREAK!  The Rockers got their two points from answers 2 and 3, so we had to get all the rest to tie it.  And all the way down to #9 we were sweeping every single one!!!  But #10 belonged to Krusty.  So the Rockers won 31-29.

GOOD JOB Rockers!!!  This one was definitely worth getting up for!

Weeeeeeeeeee......  The wonders are on a winning streak!!  2 Wins in a row!!  Wowzers!!

Today the Wonders showed up in full force!  There were no tricks today for our team, only treats!!  Although Fourplay fought us all the way and even won game 2, forcing us to play a third game, the wonders were victorious in the end!

Game one started off with Words containing EAR and the Wonders scoring 6 pts.  Then these space cadets scored 7 pts with Things in Outer Space.  We swept the next cat Sports That Don't Use Balls with Athena scoring 7 of the 10 possible points.  We wrapped up game on with Biblical women and Things Associated with Football.  Final Score: 31 -11.

Game Two started off slow with Yellow Things  Combined both teams only scored 5 points on what you would think would be an easy cat.  The next cat, Famous Mysteries ended with a tied score of 7 - 7. The Wonders broke the tie and took the lead with Weatherman Terminology.  But then FourPlay turned it around and took the lead with Bill Murray Movies.  Although we were never more than a few points behind FourPlay kept their lead through Advertising Mascots, Words with Men in them and finally Children's TV Shows. Final Score: 31 -27.

T
He wonders were desperate for a win today and we pulled, pushed, wiggled and streaked to make it happen!  We started off strong and just kept going from the first cat Movies w/ Sequels, Cities beginning with a vowel and then scoring 9 points with things in a fitness club. Didn't all that wiggling let you know we were a fit and healthy bunch?? VI stopped us from a sweep in that cat!  We continued down the winning road with the last few cats Green Veggies, Golf Masters (Go CHey!!) and we wrapped it up with Christmas Ornaments.  Final Score: 31 -21.

Everyone scored this game, and everyone scored alot of points. Fun was had by all and for the first time this season our team is coming together.  YAY WOnders.
