The Raiders played well tonight and all that Wonders' wiggling couldn't
stop us from winning in two games.
We had a commanding lead of 4 - 16 after three rounds in the first game.
By the sixth round, the Wonders had tightened the score to 19 - 27, but
the Raiders' knowledge of explorers, in the next round, gave us the win,
20 - 31.
The second game had all the makings for a romantic interlude. (Keep these
in mind, Judy!) We had Anthony Hopkins films, followed by dishes with
places in their names, a trip to the beach, a little nap in the things
related to sleep cat, all topped off with Heart songs and a 21 - 31 win
for the Raiders!
WTG Raiders!!

(commentary) 3 great games tonight!!! The Rockers came out
strong for the first game, and we Liz^ards came back just as strong to
take the second game. The third game began with the Rockers taking
the lead 7-2, but we Liz^ards tied it up at 14-14 in the third round.
The Rockers took the lead back in the next round, and they never let go.
The Rockers were great competition and a lot of fun!!!

This was a very competitive match up, and a long game as well (or maybe it
just seemed longer because of all the Carpenters songs Summ and I insisted
on singing!) We took the lead in the first round of all three games
the first game we never fell behind and finally won on John Cusack Movies
(woo hoo EV! WE BE SLOBBERING FOR YA) The second game started
exactly the same (5-3 rocks) but after three rounds the Lizards tied us in
Military shows, took the lead on Chinese food, and swept words that begin
and end in an A for a reptilian win. (Scott, stop doing whatever
you're doing to make Liz slap you....and score so much!)
Last game the ROCKERS took a commanding lead (7-2) in the James Earl Jones
cat (any man whose cartoon alter ego lives at Pride Rock is a friend of
ours!) We held on to the lead during Mascots, but saw the Lizards slither
back to tie us 14-14 in cafeteria food. We jumped ahead in
condiments (27-21) they gained some footing in Cud Chewers (28-26 - and
editorial comment: yuck!) but we finished it off with 7 letter male names
(we count so good cuz of that math tutor at the Quee School of
Math)....final score 33-28
Good game lizards, and rocks, I'm on the top of the world looking down on
creation and the only explanation I can find.....

Yes, the Rats came out victorious once more, but the win was somewhat
unfulfilling due to the fact that we outnumbered Fourplay by half. I
remember the day we played under those circumstances, and it certainly
doesn't make for a very challenging game. How pleased and proud I am
to be a part of a team who has given it every effort to be present for
most games. The details of the games were as expected. We
started out game one gettting 8 to 10 out of 10 answers in categories such
as Highschool sports and national airlines. Fourplay did
exceptionally well in the category of composers that being with the letter
B. The second game was pretty much the same, with us starting out
that game with a sweep in styles of marital arts. Given the
uneveness of the teams, the rest of the game went pretty much the same
way, with us also sweeping the last category of types of pies.
Thanks for hanging in there Fourplay when the odds were against you.
Hope our next match is more evenly matched!

(commentary) What a set of games!!! Both teams came to play tonight.
We jumped out to an early lead with the professional wrestlers cat and
held it until the medicines starting with the letter "Z"
appeared. Flamepillar ran to his medicine cabinet and got like 7 of them.
The game was back and forth until the end with the LOL'ers winning
The second game had us jumping out to another lead and keeping it this
time thanks to our favorite Canadian Bittersweet knowing her provinces.
and the teams knowledge of famous pairs.
The third game started out as the first 2 games did with us opening up an
early lead with of all things Pokemon cards(I hope I never see this cat
again) and buildng up a 17-10 lead. Te LOL'ers started chipping away at
the lead finally catching us with the dreaed Chinese provinces cat. The
final cat was things found in a pet store which put the LOL'ers over the
top. The only thing that spoiled 3 great g!
ames were what seemed to be hundreds of champion rounds...ack!!! GREAT

I need to get a job, man, I'm playing this game way too much lately!
And what an intense game we had with the Six Packers tonight!!!
In the first game, the Sixers took a commanding lead of 8-1 on Wrestlers.
We LOLers didn't let it get to us, though we held them off up to
9-16 on Batman Villains. Then, the Medicines That Start With Z cat
came up guess those four months I worked at Guardian Insurance paid
off for me, cuz I was able to grab six of those. And you do NOT want
to know what some of those medicines are for LOL! Anyway,
lightdancer also managed to grab one in there and we tied the game at
17-17. The next cat was another Wrestling One, but this time it was
groups. LOLs may not know wrestling, but we have always gone by the
motto "The more, the merrier", so we swept four of these and
took the lead 21-17! From then on, we held on all the way to our
31-29 win.
In the second game, the Packers pulled together and took another lead of
5-4 with things in a Circus. Famous pairs and countries that start
with G or N brought them to a 20-16 lead, and things in a Birdcage put us
into a bind, trailing 18-28! The Six Packers took a seat and won on
types of Chairs 32-21.
In the third game, the Packers took another lead of 3-0 on Pokemon
characters! I knew Bulbasaur because of the Bulbasaur that's been
popping up at the games lately, but it wasn't there tonight. The
Sixers made it a much bigger lead, 10-3, with things associated with the
Flintstones, which I must say they played VERY well on that cat!
Three of my five first answers were all there, but the Sixers had them
first! Things associated with Clocks had us ticking down to the
danger point, as Six was now halfway there and we were at 7. Dan
Aykroyd films came along, and we cut the lead by one more, but at 10-17
things were looking pretty hopeless. Our ladies, as well as me with
my long beautiful hair, however, were able to nab 7 of the things you put
in your hair to make the score 17-20! Bones of the human body was
another good round for the Sixers, though, as they hit the red zone at
25-21. Then China provinces popped up, and we LOLers miraculously
tied it at 26-26. Again, I re!
ally need to get off of this machine. Even if it was only 5 letter
ones I got, this is really bad! LOLers won in the end with things in
a Pet Store, 32-29.
Very well played, Six Packers! Y'all were a bunch of fun and great
sports.

Hmmm... when was the last time the WOnders played 3 games?
When was the last time we won a game? How many different ways can I
say, we came, we played hard, we gave them a fight and we lost in the end?
Today we actually only lost each game by 10 points or less! We are
definatly on the right track. Now we just need to pull together and
win a game!!
The Raiders took the lead in game one and never gave it up thoughout both
games. Although at one point during game one we were behind by 12
points, we did struggle to make a dent in their lead, but ended up losing
in the end by 10 points.
Game two was the same. The Raiders took of with the lead and just kept
going. They held us back and as much as we fought (typed) we were
unable to catch up.
Bot challenged us tonight with a wide variety of cats including:
Irish Towns & Cities,Things associated with Funerals, German Cities,
Relative WOrds, Things assoc. with Sarah McLachlan, Stories by Ernest
Hemmingway, Famous Explorers, Straits, Anthony Hopkins Movies, Things You
Bring to the Beach, Things Associated with Sleep & finally Heart
Songs.
