The LOL women representatives fought hard but were no match for the mighty pirates. By the time the LOL's left, the decks were shining from all the sweeping the Raiders were doing. Bot was on a roll with champ rounds which only made the longest game in history, longer! Beware, the real Raiders and back and plan to pillage, peck and plunder to the top this season!! The teams were evenly matched for a day game and the competition fierce. The first game began in a tie at 4-4. We pulled slightly ahead in the next cat, "Clothing Brands", 9-8. For the next 3 cats, we gathered steam and held the lead. The final two cats, "computer stuff" and "Israel cities" gave us the win at 32-20. The Wonders took off like wild-fire in the second game, taking and holding the lead for 3 rounds. We found ourselves behind 8-16. Then a double point "Movies with Female Names" cat came up, and we Lizards must watch a lot of movies...we scored 14 points to take the lead, 22-18. Final score was Lizards 31, Wonders 28. Rockers and Rats met for a late lunch match today. Bot threw champ rounds all over today. It took almost the full hour to play two games. The Rockers got out to a small lead in the first category. We held it to the last round when our captain showed us she is secretly a Parrot head and blitzed the Buffett category and gave us the 34-20 win. The Rats took a 4-2 lead to start off the first game. The Rocks regained the lead with Academy Award Directors. We kept the lead til the end and took the match with a score of 34-23. Welcome to CaHiDesertman who played and scored in his first tourney game today. We look forward to many more. Congrats to the Rats on a well played game. (Commentary) --------------- For most of the 1st game, there were only 3 of us rats (corwin, lexine and me), and there were 5 rockers present. After a while, Sinsear came in and with her followed 2 more Rockers straggling in. Day games are not our thing. We tried with all the slobber we could muster, but the Rockers, who seem to have good attendance at most any game, prevailed in both games....end of story. Ok, rats...next game is wednesday night at 10 pm. I will look forward to seeing your drooling faces then.
