A.B.Normal was a pioneering effort. No we are not talking about the brain
donor in Mel Brooke's film "Young Frankenstein", but about Ravi J.Deka's
spoofy column on conspiracies,  paranormal events and the all evasive
truths. Printed in the Assam Tribune,  the fortnightly column ran for over
a year and is probably the first and so far  the only one of its kind in India.a

ZAPPED

Richard Shaver and most of his fans knew for sure who was responsible for strange voices in the head and bread mysteriously turning mouldy. It was the loathsome underground Deros terrorising people with ray guns for discovering their existence.  However, with the human authorities refusing to even consider the existence of these supposed culprits, let alone prosecute them, the tormented few had to be content splashing the pages of "Amazing Stories" with warnings about these unseen fiends.

That way Stephen Corney is far more fortunate. Not only does he know who's at fault, but  also took them to court. The  39 year old former engineer of British Telecom is suing his ex-employers for £100,000, claiming that his left-brain got damaged by using mobile phones. One of his grievances is that his condition makes him forgetful - apparently once after he finishing  shopping and putting the packages in the car, he returned to the supermarket and paid for the goods again.

Indeed, medical studies have established that mobile phone radiation stimulates release of endorphins in the brain, whereby these electromagnetic discharges can become addictive and lead to  greater appetite for alcohol and narcotics. A host of other ailments from headaches to skin rashes, nausea, tumours and even cancer are also suspected, but whether mobile phones can be blamed for paying double for veggies needs to be seen.
Thus cell phones joined the league of other man-made sources of powerful electromagnetic fields, or EMFs like transmission wires and radio transmitters, whose adverse effects on the human body is outright questionable.

Commonly viewed as unforeseen by-products of progress, ailments rooted in high exposure to EMFs and radiation are apparently not always unintentional. Going by some rather convincing allegations and evidences of conspiracy theorists, Microwave(MW) harassment is an integral part of the various government's arsenal of non-lethal weapons. Differing little from the alleged Deros activities of Shaver and Co., the regime's are accused of using them against their dissidents and for various Mind control (MC) experiments.

Thus, the Wavies (people claiming to be suffering from MC and MW harassment), have been pointing fingers at the US and the NATO for decades now, accusing them of everything from causing headaches to inserting voices and implants into their brains.
Whether these clandestine activities are carried out by the governments or not, one thing which cannot be denied is that MWs can be very harmful. Effecting the human body in a way similar to how the MW oven cooks chicken, high velocity microwave beams cause a slight change in the temperature of targeted individuals tissues, causing a host of syndroms from headaches to insanity, depending upon the intensity and the frequency of the wave.

One of the earliest allegations of MW/MC terrorism was made by Swede, Robert Naeslund, declaring that following an operation in a Stockholm hospital in 1960, he started suffered from both RHIC (radio hypnotic intracerebral control) implants and targeted microwave radiation.
Naeslund also claimed that because of the Swedish security agency, no surgeon in the country agreed to operate on him to remove the implants. He therefore travelled to Indonesia where he claimed that the operation by doctors at the St Carolus Hospital in Jakarta, was halted midway, apparently on CIA instructions.

A better known and a far more plausible case of microwave harassment involved the protesters  at the Greenham Common USAF base in UK. In 1981 a group of Female activists, concerned by the deployment of US nuclear weapons on British soil, staged a non-violent protest around the perimeter fences of base. All of a sudden the protestors started getting waves of severe headaches, temporary paralysis and nausea. Examining the incident, investigators discovered that microwave radiation in the area was a hundred times higher than background readings taken around the base.

Long denied and derided as conspirationist nonsense by the accused governments and their military, only recently have they started acknowledging the existence of microwave weaponry. Allegations of mind control experiments are still met with stony silence.
The US military had to own up to fact that they posses a microwave based technique which could make people hear things, when they considered its usage in the Gulf war.
The MC plan which was subsequently abanoned, intended to use the technology for simulating the voice of God in order to demoralise the Iraqis in Baghdad.
Detailing the plan the USAF scientific advisory board expalined: "With a pulse stream, an internal acoustic field of 5-15KHz can be created which is audible. Thus it may be possible to 'talk' to adversaries in a way which would be most disturbing to them."

Do you feel your sixth sense talking all the time ?
