Balsam

Botanical Name: Impatiens balsamina

Native to Southeast Asia. It is an Annual which can be grown in Ground or in Pots.

Seeding time: Seeding time starts from February and lasts up to September.

Flowering time: Flower starts from February end and lasts upto October.

Propagation: Balsam is grown from seeds, which can be directly sown into Pots or ground. Sow seeds and cover lightly with soil. Space 12 to 14 inches apart.

Care: For balsams, there is no serious insect or disease problems. It needs a fertile land. For bushier growth, pinch back young plants and water regularly. Balsam does not tolerate wet or cold weather.

Variety: The flower colors are pink, purple, red, rose and white
