Classes | Weekly Classes Classes with Rainbow Yoga encourage the participant to relax the mind, stretch and tone the body, calm the spirit, observe the mind/body/breath connection and increase overall levels of fitness. A typical class incorporates an initial relaxation, deep breathing techniques, a flowing series of stretches and exercises designed to work all parts of the body and a closing guided relaxation/meditation. There is a meditative flow from pose to pose, a focus on releasing tightness and tension in the body, alleviating the effects of repetitive work duties, and keeping the body flexible and toned. We learn how to ease lower back pain, how to increase muscle flexibility, how to tighten and strengthen muscles, how to increase bone density, ways to relieve headaches and much more. I often have many levels of flexibility in my classes, therefore I describe more than one variation to each pose and each person does what feels good. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a cloth or towel to lie on. Classes are not affiliated with any religion. Join us for a yoga class. Temporarily withdraw from the commotion that is life today, and find a quiet space within. Leave us with an increased sense of well being and vitality.
