Around midday climbers lounge like lizards on the rocks after attaining the summit of Mt. Shasta at 14,162 feet. Weather conditions can vary widely by season and individual day to day weather patterns. This was one of the lucky ones when the sky was perfectly clear as far as the distant horizons.
