One difficulty of being a writer is becoming published. Being published is having your poems (or whatever else you might have done) being put out for the public to view. However, with advancements in the area of the Internet, it is now possible to publish your writing on the Internet for everyone to view.
To publish the work that had been done by the students of 9th grade in CIPLC, I created this entire website. However, it is not necessary to create an entire website simply to publish poems. There are many websites already uploaded onto the Internet that publish the writing pieces of others. Here are some of the other poetry websites I found on the Internet:

http://www.gigglepoetry.com/ - an entertaining poetry site for the youth of the world. You are able to learn about poem styles, read other student's poetry, amuse yourself with entertaining poetry, possibly have one of your poems published onto their website, and enter contests.

http://www.shadowpoetry.com/ - a more mature place for older poets to gather and share their thoughts on poetry. This website allows you to discuss poetry on a message board, receive their newsletter "The Quill", famous poet biographies, suggestions on how to become published, examples of types of poetry, and much more.

http://www.poetry-portal.com/ - this site goes into depth about poetry in all aspects, to help the beginning or advanced poet. It contains a collection of useful links and is easy to navigate. The site also hosts competitions, courses, and goes into the biographies of other poets. http://www.csustan.edu/english/reuben/pal/append/AXF.HTML - this poetry website goes inside and out of poetry, including all of the types and aspects of poetry. A very useful website when you want to look up what your teacher means when you need to write a sonnet.
