What are you waiting for?

Why does it seem that people fear what they dream
It's not like it takes a great plan or scheme
They feel they know what they want, yet dare not
Maybe, to go for it, they were not taught

Afraid to give their Love freely, what a shame
If they do not find their True Love, who's to blame
Reluctant to go all out, put their heart on the line
When asked to give their Love truly, they quickly decline

Experience teaches us what we need to learn
To find true happiness, your ultimate concern
When you meet your One and Only, will you see
Or simply pack your bags, and hastily flee

Hurt causes great pain, you are taught to stay away
But if the cost, is Love, what a price you could pay
You might ask yourself, will not trying, be so smart
If you give in, you could receive a shattered heart

Love is full of risks, but what a wonderful prize
An unbounded emotion, of which logic, it defies
So give of yourself, and let them see all of you
You know what you yearn for, now let it come true.
