Love Birds Return

There once was a pair of Love birds sitting happily
They enjoyed many nights of cuddling harmoniously
Things were wonderful in there little nest of Heaven
One day a blustery wind, rocked the nest, what a sin
Tossing the Love birds in separate directions, far apart
They could not find each other, lost without their sweetheart

Unable to find their mate, they searched hi and low
Their hearts beginning to wonder if it was to be so
Finding others along the way to fill the void of the loss
These new friendships might create a new bridge to cross
As time went by, the Love birds still yearned for their mate
Hoping that once reunited, it would not be too late

With reserved feelings, the Love birds return to the nest
To reunify their hearts and souls, the ultimate test
Witnessing some heartfelt pain, realizing Love's power
Their Love strengthened by the chaos, fully returned to each other
As they sit together, side by side, heart to heart
They will share Life's trials, with their true sweetheart.
