29/9/2002 - Check out our homepage for a photograph of planetdance's first ever eisteddfod troupe winners, the fabulous "Stargirls". The photo takes a little while to load but it's worth waiting for. Our "POP101" starlets also won on Sunday giving planetdance two first places from three competitors. Everyone thought the "ET" troupe should have won too and I know the girls were a little bit disappointed - but don't worry there's a 1st place coming soon for you too. We'll publish full results of the East Hills troupes, with pictures, in a special edition of Starburst later this week... so come back soon. |

23/9/2002 - Check out the September Starburst page to see who's been doing well this month. We left out some news about one of our starlets last time. Also on the Starburst page read a full report of the Proud Mary Troupe's fantastic result in the Ronald MacDonald Challenge at the Sydney Opera House. You might also like to look at the picture at the bottom of the Starburst page. I think you might recognise a couple of the performers featured.
We'd just like to apologise in advance for the poor quality of the new photos on the Starburst page - if anyone has any better pictures of "Proud Mary" we'd love to feature them on the web-site. |

29/8/2002 - Jot down 11th December in your diaries. That's the date of our Christmas party. This year we will be holding a combined party with our big sister studio, K&V Academy of Dance, Sutherland. K&V parties are always heaps of fun with a sausage sizzle, drinks, ice cream, rides and perhaps even a DJ. |

Remember when many of our students provided the pre-match & half-time entertainment recently at the 3rd State of Origin Rugby League game? 4/8/2002 - If you were at the Miranda Fashion Parade last week, you would have noticed a very professional-looking photographer with expensive equipment, clicking away furiously. He was in fact one of our "dad's", with 3 daughters at planetdance and a son who won a place in the parades through his performance at the G.A.S. Workshop.
Keep checking back over the next few days - we'll be posting an extra page of pics every day or so - courtesy of Tony and his wife, Tanika.
Tony and Tanika (who doesn't know Tanika???) will have a display of photographs at the Menai studio for the next couple of weeks and will be selling copies for a very modest price of $1 each.

2/3/2002 - Well it's almost a month since our Stage Workshop at Sutherland. On the final day of the workshop the students performed at the Sharks Leagues Club in a "Showcase" of what they had learned. 14/2/2002 - Wow! Good News! Palnetdance will be ready for action on Monday, 18th.February - classes will commence on this date. There have been a few changes to the timetable - Don't hesitate to call Miss Jade on 0403 180 528 or Kelly/Vanessa on 95453000.
If you have ordered your uniforms already, they should be ready to be picked up in the first or second week of term.
The builders have been hard at work all week and should be finished sanding all the new walls tonight. Mirrors were fitted to the wall in Studio One today. We will be painting almost continuously Friday, Saturday & Sunday to have the studio open on Monday morning. We're not sure whether all the carpet will have been laid but we are determined to start anyway - I'll bet you are all anxious to get started too. 6/2/2002 - This terrible wet weather has been good for two things - ducks and planetdance Menai. The builders hired to lay our floors were unable to work on another site because of the big wet, so they started work at planetdance yesterday and finished laying the floor today. Check back each day for more news. |

24th January, 2002. Due to the larger than anticipated response to The Summer Stage Workshop and the number of people wishing to see the final day "showcase", the venue for the performance was switched to the Sharks Leagues Club at Cronulla - just as well too as the leagues club just barely managed to fit everyone in.
The evening was a huge success and we'd like to extend our congratulations to "Triple Treat" (Chris Franham -singing, Susie Smither - modelling and Clive Smither - stagecraft and microphone techniques) - and of course a very big thank you to Miss Jade who took all the dance classes. Oh Yeah! And let's not forget Kelly & Vanessa who worked tirelessly on the sometimes thankless admin side. |

24th January, 2002. The show put on by the K&V Dancers at Menai Marketplace on 21st & 22nd January to launch planetdance literally stopped the audience in the aisles. The performance impressed centre management so much that they have been invited back on Thursday 28th January for another show. Click here fo pictures taken at the show. |
