| Some of our students have been busy during the first week of the school holidays. Tiana Mihajlovski and Samantha Risteski both went down to the south coast to compete at the prestigious Wollongong Eisteddfod. Both girls are really new to eisteddfods and did very well, each earning a Highly Commended for their Jazz routines. At the same venue, some new troupe dances, choreographed by Miss Jade for our K&V studio at Sutherland have also done very well. "Proud Mary" and "Bonnie & Clyde" both took out 1st place in their sections and "Your Disco" gained a second place. At the Menai Market Talent Quest, Monique Stivala won her heat to go through to the final next Saturday, 20th July. Several more of our students will be appearing there during the week, including the "Hey Baby!" group, who are in Friday's heat. So get along to Menai and support our starlets. You'll see some excellent entertainment. |

| Menai Marketplace Talent Quest |
| The Finals of the Menai Marketplace talent quest were held on Saturday 20th July and featured quite a few of our students. In the Junior Section, our appropriately named "Starlets" wowed the audience and judges alike with their performance of "Hey Baby!" and won 1st place. One of the "Starlets",Jade Henderson, also performed a solo number to "Let's Get Loud" and took out second place. Monique Stivala performed her J-Lo number and must have been desperately unlucky not to get a place. In the Senior Section, despite there being some outstanding talent on show, there was never any doubt who the eventual winners would be. Naomi and Leighton were the standout act of the show, performing a duo choreographed by Miss Jade. |
