| D.J.'s week was like pretty cool, but butt-munch Mark forces tie. Whatever.Crazy. Was that for real, dude? It's totally not fair. Bummer. Teen Picks champ D.J. was like trying to regain her magic from last year, but was flipping out in Week 10 when one of her teams totally turned into butt-nuts and blew an important game for the 16-year-old mall hopper. Freaks! The truth is that Mark was like "Yes!" and Deej was like "Whatever" after Mark's Jets came from like nowhere to beat Girlie's Raiders 27-24 in overtime. D.J. would have trimmed Mark's eight-game advantage to like six or something, but his lead remained intact when both finished with 8-5 records. He's a butt-munch for sure. With the Jets trailing like 24-16 late in the game, who knows how things got turned around. Call asap if you figure it out. Whatever. They're oinkers anyway. Did you happen to see the guys and chicks in that cool rerun of Buffy the other night? We'll have to like cover that later. Totally! Blaine was like yelling and flipping out after the Buccaneers defense allowed a late touchdown that totally kept him from like taking first place for the week. Dude, your mouth! Geez. He's having a butt-nut type of year. One of the freaky things about this weird season that happened like again and again and again on Sunday was people going totally alone with a team and ending up feeling totally cool about it. Mark did it with the 2-6 Jets topping the 2-6 Raiders, D.J. did it with the 1-7 Chargers beating the 6-2 Vikings, and Blaine did it with the 3-5 Redskins edging the 6-2 Seahawks. Totally awesome, dudes! Really. D.J. and QT were like really crazy as they pinned their hopes on the cool-looking Cardinals in Pittsburgh just to show support for former Wilmington star Damien Anderson. But the 5-foot-11, 217-pound running back had like one carry for only 3 yards, and that totally wasn't enough to topple the Steelers. Big-time bummer. Hopefully his high school won't also play like butt-munches this week. (We interrupt this Deej-lingo story to bring you the following important and related message: The surging Wildcats (11-0) play at 1 p.m. Saturday against the Central High School Comets (8-3) in Clifton. There are only eight teams left in the Class 3A football playoffs. This weekend's thrilling quarterfinal game is a rematch of last year's quarterfinals when the Cats prevailed 27-20 in Wilmington. The conquering Cats have crushed their competition 384-56 so far in 2003. Those farm boys sure are brawny. We now return you to your regularly scheduled reading.) So dude, you're like at the end of this freaky Picks story. Crazy. Totally check things out again next week. Later. |
