Healing scriptures

If you are sick today it is God�s will to heal you. You do not have to pray and ask for God�s will in healing. He revealed His will when He sent His Son.

We "WERE" healed 2,000 years ago when Jesus took our diseases and bore them on the cross and took the lash, the stripes for our healing. The Scripture says that by His stripes we "WERE" healed! (past tense) "And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; FOR BY HIS WOUNDS YOU WERE HEALED." (1 Peter 2:24) From God's perspective you've already received healing...it was included in your salvation.

"For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with SALVATION." (Psalm 149:4 NASB) This word "salvation" is the same word which we also translate into English as the word "healing!!!" He can "save" and/or "heal" both the body and the spirit!

We know that it is His will to heal you. We don't have to pray "thy will be done," on whether or not God wills healing,
BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD CLEARLY REVEALS GOD'S WILL THROUGH JESUS TO HEAL ALL WHO ARE OPPRESSED BY THE DEVIL.

"Now God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and HEALING ALL that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (Acts 10:38)

If you are sick�you are being oppressed by the enemy. It is always God�s will that you live free from oppression and walk in the abundant life that Jesus affords us.
We must learn to accept God�s perfect will over our lives. We must not allow ourselves to slip into complacency and receive our diseases without fighting back.
"Death and LIFE are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21) Believe the Scriptures! They will not fail you if you obey God and trust. Remember, though, that you need to ask God to release HIS Holy Spirit to anoint the Word of God. It takes the Spirit of God and the Word working together. Don't leave the Holy Spirit out!! Ask and thank the Lord for anointing these Scriptures with the Holy Spirit. Ask the Lord to help you acknowledge the Comforter.

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are LIFE unto those that find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." (Proverbs 4:20-23) We must speak life over ourselves and that more abundantly.

Do not claim your disease�claim your healing!
Do not proclaim your disease to others�proclaim your healing to others. And they will stand with you.

"IF TWO OF YOU SHALL AGREE on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." (Matt. 18:19) One of God's names in the Old Testament Hebrew is Jehovah-Rapha. This is found in Exodus 15:26. HIS Name translates from the Hebrew: "GOD THE HEALER." HIS NAME IS "HEALER" BECAUSE HEALING IS IN HIS VERY NATURE.
PRAISE THE LORD!

Gather around you those who will believe with you for your healing.
"Is ANYONE among you sick? Let him call for the elders (saintly leaders) of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith WILL restore the one who is sick, and the Lord WILL raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they WILL be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."
(James 5:14-16)

Remind yourself of the benefits of God constantly...Jesus died for your healing!
"Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons ALL your iniquities; Who heals ALL your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle." (Psalms 103:1-5)

This is the will of God over your life�that you be redeemed, healed and renewed!

"HE giveth power to the faint; and TO THEM that have no might HE increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD [minister to, wait upon, turn to, focus on, pray to, believe in] shall RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; THEY SHALL RUN, and not be weary; and THEY SHALL WALK, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:29-31)

If you can RUN and not get tired and walk and not faint,
isn't that healing???

We must continually speak against the disease�do not own it,
it is not yours.
We must contradict the disease and speak life over ourselves. We say �NO� to disease, we rebuke you, we do not receive you, we reject you, be gone in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. "Resist the enemy and He must flee from you." Pray a hedge of protection around your mind, body and spirit in Jesus name. The blood of Jesus has set you free. You are healed! You are merely waiting for a manifestation of that healing in the physical. Do not allow seeds of unbelief to come in and destroy the word of the Lord in you.

We must speak the word over ourselves.
We must remind ourselves as well as have others remind us that we are healed! We only have to ask and appropriate the blood of Jesus over our lives. We have to ask and stand believing.

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Num. 23:19)

"There hath not failed one word of all His good promise." (1st Kings 8:56)

"For ever O, Lord, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89)

"I will HASTEN *MY* Word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1:12)

"He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions." (Psalm 107:20)

"Great multitudes followed him (Jesus), and he healed them ALL." (Matthew 12:15)

"He (Jesus) welcomed them (the crowds) and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing." (Luke 9:11b)

"Lo, I come, to do thy will, O God." (Hebrews 10:7)

"I (Jesus) came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me." (John 6:38)

The Leper of Mark 1:40 said:
"If you are willing, you can make me clean." Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said, "Be clean!"

Jesus healed ALL THEIR DISEASES!
".
..as many as touched [the hem of his garment] were made perfectly whole." (Matthew 14:36)

It wasn't some who touched, but it was "...as many as touched."

Anyone and everyone who needed a healing received when they touched the Master!

"The whole multitude sought to touch him; (and He) healed them ALL." (Luke 6:19)

"...and He...healed ALL that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took OUR infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." (Matthew 8:16-17)

Has Jesus changed? Has God changed?

"Jesus Christ THE SAME yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Hebrews 13:8)

He wants to heal YOU today!

"When the sun was setting, ALL they that had ANY sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on EVERY ONE OF THEM and HEALED THEM." (Luke 4:40)

"O Lord my God, I called to YOU for help and YOU healed me. O Lord, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit. Psalm 30:2,3

"Heal me, O Lord, and I WILL BE HEALED; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." Jeremiah 17:14

"Surely he (Jesus) took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows,...by his wounds we ARE healed." (Isaiah 53:4-5)

"Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you." (John 16:23)

"What THINGS soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." (Mark 11:24)

Remember God cannot break His covenant promises.

God says,"MY covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." (Psalms 89:34)

"HE [God the Father] that spared not HIS own Son [Jesus], but delivered HIM up [to be nailed on a cross] for us all, how shall HE [God the Father] not with HIM [Jesus] also freely give us all THINGS?" [Romans 8:32]

Jesus even told the disciples to heal the sick.
He gave them authority to act in His name. We have that same authority today through the blood of Jesus.

Jesus said to His disciples, "When you enter a town... Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'" (Luke 10:9)

Notice He said that the kingdom of God is near you. Jesus was still on the earth...He walked beside them. But by the power of the Holy Spirit today we have the godhead dwelling bodily IN US. How much more will our prayers be heard when we carry His Presence IN US.

Do not settle for less than what God desires for you.
It is His will to heal you.

Believe the Scriptures!
They will not fail you if you obey God and trust. Remember, though, that you need to ask God to release HIS Holy Spirit to anoint the Word of God. It takes the Spirit of God and the Word working together.

g these Scriptures with the Holy Spirit. Ask the Lord to help you acknowledge the Comforter.

At this juncture we must surrender everything to the Lord.
Scripture is clear. Healing is God's ultimate will for believers, no matter what. The working out of the healing, and the timing of the healing, in this life or the next, is up to God! But, we never have to beg for healing.

We simply ask, thank and expect.
If our expectation is delayed until eternity and the final resurrection, so be it!
Even in Paul's story of the "thorn in the flesh" if you read the passage you see that nowhere does God refuse Paul healing. Instead the Lord reminds Paul that His "grace" or gift is sufficient. Paul is certainly healed in Heaven and the Lord's message to Paul was a "standby," OR WAIT...not a "no."

Let us never forget that we must always speak life over ourselves and others no matter what it looks like.
The enemy is a liar and an accuser of the brethren, he is here to rob, kill and destroy, but the Lord says He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
And He has assured us that "I am the Lord that healeth thee" (Exodus 15:26)

There are so many more scriptures on healing, these are only a few, Pray to the Lord and let Him reveal Himself to you as the Great Physician. Ask Him to give you verses to stand on and believe for�you have but to ask.
You must receive the word of faith in your heart.
Once you hear His word, the truth shall set you free!
